Sayulita, Mexico is an idyllic seaside pueblo that draws through thousands of tourists each year.

​While many benefit from the tourism, most local women are employed in low-paying service jobs struggling to provide for their families in a pueblo that is growing prohibitively expensive.
​
Mujeres Movimiento-Sayulita was created to assist women and their children to better benefit from this tourism. ​

Helping local women successfully launch businesses.

Mujeres Movimiento-Sayulita assists by helping local women successfully launch several business ventures including the creation of

• an online Spanish language program that employs 14 women
• seasonal workshops in which women are paid to teach cooking, Mexican arts and crafts and much more!
• an eco-bag business

In addition to these businesses, Mujeres Movimiento-Sayulita has partnered with other organizations and individuals to provide English classes to children and adults, exercise classes for women, and ballet classes for girls. All of Mujeres Movimiento-Sayulita’s projects are spearheaded by local women.
