Cancellation Policies January 2023
1. Canceling a class, with required 12+ hour notice
Students who need to cancel an upcoming class must provide a 12-hour notice of the cancellation by sending an email to their teacher. With a 12-hour notice, students may reschedule the class/es but no refund will be offered. Make-up class/es must fall within one month of the
cancellation date. For example, if a student cancels on November 25th, they will have until December 25th to have that make-up class.
2. Canceling numerous classes (2 weeks or less)
Students who wish to take a vacation from classes of no more than 2 weeks, must provide a two week-notice to their teacher and those missed classes may be rescheduled.
3. Canceling numerous classes (longer than 2 weeks)
Students who wish to take a break longer than 2 weeks, must provide a one-week notice to their teacher and the student will have the options of (1) a credit for when they return or (2) paying the teacher for those classes.
4. Cancellations Without Proper Notice Exceptions
Students who cancel the class but do not provide a 12-hour notice, may not reschedule the class UNLESS the teacher deems it an emergency –hospitalization, sickness, death, etc.—and will not be refunded any money.
5. Student who doesn’t show up for 1 class
Students who do not show up for a class and do not notify the teacher will not be given an option to reschedule and no refund will be offered. UNLESS there has been an emergency situation—death, hospitalization, etc.
6. Student who doesn’t show up for 2 classes and has not provided any notice
Students who do not show up for 2 classes and do not respond to the teacher’s third email before the third next scheduled class may be removed from the schedule and no refund or rescheduling options will be given.
7. Teacher Cancellations and Teacher Vacation
If a teacher needs to cancel a class or take a vacation, students are given the options to reschedule or to receive a refund or credit. Credits expire in 3 months.
